How do I clean my filter?
Clean your filter by hand. Hold it upside down and rinse. Rub the mesh with your fingers. (Gently! Pretend youʼre petting a kitten). Don’t wedge open the two layers of mesh. The filter has two edges for easier rinsing.

Why is my brew taking less time?
Steel mesh allows liquid through more easily than matted paper fibers. If you pour more slowly, you’ll be able to reach your usual brew time. We recommend a brew time of 3:30 – 4:00.

When will my filter arrive?
Most likely, very soon! We ship all orders by the next business day from our Seattle headquarters. We use USPS First Class shipping for all standard orders, and USPS Priority Mail for expedited orders. You can find all the info at our shipping information page. What grind should I use?
Start with a grind about the size of table salt, but adjust as needed to ensure you aren’t brewing too quickly or too slowly.

Are your filters in my local store yet?
Not yet. We are working on that! For the moment, you can find our filters here and also at our Amazon.com storefront.

Do I need to use more/less coffee than usual?
Definitely not. Use the same amount of coffee as always.

What’s your return policy?
It’s pretty easy. You can return or exchange your purchase any time, for any reason. No questions asked, and we promise to be polite, prompt and cheerful about it! If you need more info, you can contact us or read our Returns Policy.
