What to do with those paper filters?

One of the more frequent tongue-in-cheek questions we receive is “Now what do I do with all these paper filters I don’t need?”  To which I reply in the same vein, “We make snowflakes.”

Bet you all thought I was kidding.

In theory these snowflakes will all be strung together on a garland for winter, but I really don’t know how many will last the next couple months.  Right now we get plenty of entertainment using them to recreate our favorite Frozen scenes.  They’re perfect for little hands to throw in the air and also practice some fine motor skills by cutting the snowflakes out (or attempting to).

(Admit it – you’re totally belting out “Let It Go” in your head right now.)

Want to try an adult version of this, no crafting necessary?  Save your filters until New Year’s Eve for some easy giant confetti.  Bigger confetti means it will show up better in pictures and an easier clean up so you won’t be vacuuming it up until St. Patrick’s Day.  Less clean up means more time for coffee, and isn't that how you want to start your New Year?
