DYI Coffee Gift Idea: Designer Drink Sleeves

Feliz Navidad amigos!  Kaffeologie is into the spirit of giving, and we want to send out some ideas for those of you who are stumped with what to give that coffee (or any hot beverage) lover in your life.  We'll be featuring a variety of gift ideas to accommodate every recipient and their giver's budget.   (Have a suggestion?  We'd love to hear about it in the comments.)  And as always, one of the best gifts you can give your favorite coffee-lover is an upgrade to the coffee routine with the AeroPress and S Filter.

The Gift:

Custom-made Drink Sleeves

Perfect for:

Anyone you are giving a gift card to a favorite coffee shop (like teachers, babysitters, or coworkers - keep a pile at the ready in your cubicle for the unexpected gift giver).  Also really cute for passing out hot drinks to carolers or at a bonfire.

The Details:

This gift was born from a necessity to keep a preschooler entertained.  And the need to upcycle said preschooler's collection of drink sleeves.  (Hey, everybody enjoys the coffee shop for their own unique reasons.)   If you don't have a ready-made collection of drink sleeves, either step up your visits to your favorite coffee shop or ask them really politely if you can have several.  If you need more than a few, you can buy a slew of them over on Amazon.

Behold the power of fancy duct tape....and Sharpies.

As far as DIY projects go, this one is ridiculously easy to boot!  Doodle on them with Sharpies, cover them in fancy duct tape, or let the aforementioned preschooler go to town with whatever paints, crayons, glitter, etc. you have available.  If you are using them as gift card conveyances, use tape or a glue dot to stick the gift card to the front.  If they're part of your outdoor celebration, slip them onto the warm beverage cup of your choice.

Now go out, be merry, and share the gift of coffee!
